Ol' Joe was just about to close when my son and I pulled into his parking lot. He graciously spent a half hour with us, providing necessary tackle and minnows. Claims he's the only independent tackle shop still open, after 6 or so others closed. Nice supplies offered and any tips you feel you need are available.

Great place to find minnows and some recommendations on tackle as well as spots for target species. You never know what you could find here but this is a gem of a bait and tackle shop. I hope this place sticks around for a long while.

Awesome place to shop for tackle and live bait. Good fella to talk to. For all you bikers giving bad reviews, maybe you should learn how to ride! Don’t ride on the shoulder and you won’t have any problems.

They give a great amount of minnows for the price you pay. They've also got a good selection of other bait and tackle throughout the shop. Best bait shop in central IL!

Asked nicely to not mow lawn clippings on the roadway due to being a safety hazard for motorcycles. He responded by doing it anyway and flipped his middle finger up at me! Rude and will never spend a dime in his place of business.

This is a great bait shop, its said that on a windy day when he mowed his grass some got on the road way and a busy body had to go in and harass him and post pictures to shame him. When you live on main roads, the bug wind and fast traffic blow any debris away pretty quickly. I get grass on the road sucks, I live in the country and try to avoid it for all vehicles traveling on our roadways. But it happens. If we are going to shame a bait shop for grass on the road maybe we should shame motorcycles for hugging the center lane driving side by side because well this is also illegal. Attacking a business and giving them bad reviews over grass on the road way is pretty pathetic. What is even more pathetic is the original poster from Clinton who is constantly seeking attention. So with that being said we are in full fishing season! Go get some worms!
