Best Western Sysonby Knoll Hotel

Booked an overnight stay as in the area. Nice hotel with nice grounds. Comfortable room. However several issues also. ||Breakfast -Nobody explained the process with the ordering and no menu on the table, had to find one. Had a long wait for someone to ask what we wanted, including a pot of tea. Limited continental selection and all open, prefer covered for hygiene. No tongs for pastries. One breakfast arrived and then a further long wait for the second breakfast, after having to reorder. Limited choice for cooked breakfast and no mushrooms. Had to keep asking for toast. And felt uncomfortable asking for more. Mediocre breakfast have had much better. The younger staff did not engage in customer service. |Evening meal - this was good quality and tasty. Sitting after our evening meal enjoying the bar area and looking out at the gardens. Unfortunately, this was completely spoilt by other guests arriving with takeaways and eating in the sitting area. They ate like animals obviously finding this funny and the food smell lingering all around. The manager and staff did nothing about this and allowed this to happen. I find this totally unacceptable, this should have been stopped. This spoilt our evening and we went back to our room. |For the size of the hotel only one disabled parking space. |Felt rushed to finish drink as the whole hotel and bar closes by 10.30pm, never had this before.

We had never previously stayed here, and were immediately impressed with the environment, with spacious gardens attractively landscaped and attractively integrated buildings. Car parking is secure, behind locked gates which are locked at about 11pm. Above all are the staff: wholly pleasant and courteous, and for whom nothing was too much trouble. They are charming assets to the hotel.

What a find! I needed a hotel in the area. The Best Western brand label did not fill me with hope, but I was so pleasantly surprised. A nice room, movement stash team and good food. What more could I want?! I'd happily stay there again when I'm next up that way

Fantastic dog friendly place to stay. Lovey exercise areas . Your dog can experience the whole visit with you as they can stay with you, even to eat ( in the bar, not the restaurant), which is still a nice place to enjoy your meals. The staff are lovely and helpful and make your stay a good experience.

Wow - this is what service should be like - from the moment we walked through the door - each member of staff could not be more helpful and keen to go that little bit further to make our stay as good as it could be. W also dined at the hotel in the evening and again we cannot fault the service or food - the whole team deserve our thanks for a great experience.

All staff were very friendly and the food was amazing. There was a big group of us staying and they were very accommodating. |There’s plenty of outdoor space to enjoy in the summer, as well as beautiful interior. |The beds were very comfortable and the rooms had everything we could’ve needed. |Would highly recommend.

Attending a wedding locally,late for the wedding so had to go straight to the wedding and send someone to collect keys, phoned hotel not an issue just pop over when you can, arrived after 11 room was excellent windows had been opened as was a very humid day so room temperature perfect. Bed very comfy great night sleep , breakfast was great had full English service was great, stayed after we checked out sitting in the gardens and enjoying the beautiful surroundings would recommend for families

I stayed a month in the same room, although it’s very dated and depressing the bed was comfy. Only got hoovered once in 30 days, cobwebs everywhere. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone
