We loved our stay at Boathouse Farm Campsite. The site is absolutely massive, so even when it’s busy, it still feels peaceful and spacious. One of the best parts is the River Ouse running right through the middle — it adds so much to the atmosphere and makes for a lovely swim or paddle on a hot day. Beautiful surroundings, plenty of space, and a really relaxed vibe. Will definitely be back.

Nice basic campsite in a big farm in a lovely area. Loads of room for pitching up away from others. Facilities pretty basic but do the job. My biggest moan is the cost. £20 per person per night adults and £10 for kids so £60 a night for us which I think is a tad steep for what’s on offer there.

We have just returned from our second visit to Boathouse farm. It is a very wonderful campsite with all the things we want from a campsite, toilets, warm showers and washing up points. Not overcrowded and run by a lovely people. Looking forward to next year.

So this campsite, please don't read this, move on. I will be returning and honestly... I'd rather not share this little gem. It has easy access, no steps or accessibility issues to enter the site, but it is a basic site and toilets and showers have step access. My initial view was, wow this is a large site with fields to choose from, basic but nice. There are toilet and shower facilities here but they are spaced out, they are not 5* facilities, but more than functionable. Oh my tip for you is: shower outside the main washing up times, or the water pressure changes and the water may become hot or cold. I then met some friends and settled for a couple of nights, and this site only got better, loads of space so no need to camp and listen to the couple next doors issues. There are two pubs within a very short walking distance, one with boats for hire, so a paddle down the Ouse can be had. We have our own Kayak, but the boat trips are such fun and really should be enjoyed in my opinion, but hey we all have our own ideas on what's fun and you do you :) As far as the owners are concerned, they are lovely, friendly and helpful, I got extra wood for the evening on one night for loading my bucket.. bonus All in all, I really like this site, but my little VW has it's comforts, but saying that, the number of tents, including our friends that enjoyed this site can't be wrong. So, as I say...... DON'T GO HERE PLEASE, I'll be back soon :)

Absolutely amazing place, second year we have been here. Stunning location, so peaceful, lovely pub short walk along the river where the food is good and you can hire boats.

Huge campsite, in an idyllic location, but with very basic facilities. It runs along a river, with the village in one direction, and the boating inn in the other.

Boathouse Farm Camping - Uckfield

Beautiful scenery, with lots of birds and wildlife (we saw a barn owl!), but definitely overpriced for the facilities. There are 2 toilets in each field (so if you're at the 'wrong' end of these huge fields, you're a full 5 minute walk away) and 4 showers for the whole site (3 fields). There is a dish washing space in each field, and a standpipe for drinking water, but no hot water in the toilets or the dishwashing space - at least when I stayed - and the handsoap ran out on Saturday night. Additionally, water was intermitent over the whole weekend I stayed, meaning toilets sometimes didn't flush and we were unable to take a shower at all. It was reported to the owner by several other campers but we never saw anyone, and understand it was due to an issue with the water main, so not his fault, but the lack of communication was the issue. Finally, the grass was so long that shoes were soaked walking to the toilets in the night/early morning, and we didn't see staff all weekend to ask about soap/water issues etc, nor did they clean the toilets which smelt worse than Glastonbury by Sunday morning.

We stayed here in late July 2024 and it was great! There was plenty of room in the numerous camping fields so it was nicely spaced out, and the facilities were what we needed. The site is just down from the pub and next to the river so it is a idillic location. ||I even managed to leave my glasses behind on the final day, and the owners were kind enough to send them to me by post the following week. Thanks so much for that and for a perfect weekend.
