Usk Barn Holiday Cottage

Had a great weeks holiday with friends in this spacious Barn House, great location with beautiful views, surrounded by fields and stunning scenery, we were blessed with 28-30 degrees sunshine all week. It’s a great base for exploring south wales. The hot tub was a welcome experience for a few evenings too. We had an issue with the shower in our room but Phil the owner came over to try and sort the issue straight away and we had a compromise solution, hopefully the plumber will have the issue sorted soon but it did not detract from our holiday and Phil and family are great. Well what an absolutely lovely place. The warm family welcome carried on throughout the weekend, nothing was too much trouble, they really want you to have a fantastic experience, which we did. Beautifully presented interior, stunning views and outstanding food. We were lucky enough to have an evening meal which was cooked and served on the premises, everything was prefect. The bedrooms are tastefully decorated and has everything you would need. A very comfortable night sleep and and an amazing breakfast. We would highly recommend The Usk Barn and look forward to a return visit.

This is an absolute gem of a property situated a short drive from the main amities in USK.|It’s a property finished to a very high spec, with stunning views across the countryside. ||The owners are attentive and helpful with any issues, and recommendations of places to visit. |The welcome hamper was a real treat too. Local produce which was really nice. The owners make their own chutneys a jar of which was included (very nice and didn’t last till the end of the week!)||They have a coffee shop and deli in the local town which again is a must to visit. 57 Bridge street!||You are well placed to visit various places within the region. Even with windy weather there is a absolute charm about wales.||We made good use of the hot tub too!! A great way to relax after a days exploring ||If you are lucky the 2 ‘pet’ donkeys will come and say hello… something amazing when you open your curtains in the morning to see lambs running around and the donkeys casually walking passed!! ||There is good WiFi connectivity here and phone signal if anyone was concerned.||If you want a place that is away from the rat race then this is the place for you. |Well worth it!

What a beautiful little gem of a place. We had room only, but the room was fantastic, the views were to die for and the owners are fabulous people.||Three brand new constructed rooms, converted from an old barn. They are all beautifuly prepared and named after the chutneys that are produced on the same site.||There is a fabulous dining room and lounge with terrific views over the valley so sorry that we could not of taken advantage of the offer of breakfast, but time was against us. We will be back and will definitely have a full on next time.||The owners Claire and Phil along with their two delightful children are some of the most welcoming people you could meet......very suited to the hospitality trade.||It can be confusing to find, as it shares the same post code as the other buildings and farms in the same area, but the first farm we called in put us right. When you arrive The Barns are worth finding.

A chance booking at the last minute but what a great choice. Truly spectacular location, lovely welcome, great barn conversion with so many lovely touches, quality at every turn, superb comfort, beautiful view, breakfast to die for, service spot on. Nothing to dislike about this stunning hideaway, would come again in a heart beat.

I surprised my partner with a trip here for his birthday. This property is absolutely stunning and a must stay for anyone who appreciates stunning views and rolling countryside! ||I arranged with the property for us to have a birthday cake and prosecco on arrival and they definitely did not let us down! This fantastic treat came at a reasonable extra cost that I would pay again without a doubt. ||The included breakfast was devine with a selection from fruit to pastries and cereal to a full cooked breakfast. We also enjoyed relaxing of an evening outside on comfy rattan seating with views of the beautiful country side 😊 ||This accommodation is not suited to those who love to spend hours on the internet or scrolling through news feeds. It is the perfect getaway from the rat race! 🏞🌄

Absolutely recommend this really well finished barn. Incredible views, spacious and really comfortable. The owners are on site, very attentive and responsive - would recommend the deli in the village that they own as well.|Views are the standout reason to stay here - gorgeous

I believe we were one of the first self-catering families to visit. 3 bedrooms with en suite in all of them - all spotless. Plenty of towels and bedding. Very large kitchen with island and amazing dining area that joins into a seating area with huge viewing windows over the Welsh countryside.||||Expansive areas to walk around with horses, sheep, cows and lush green fields. Rural location - some narrow but well-maintained roads - and very close to Cardiff and other major towns. Tons of thing to do for the family in the area. ||||Oh, and of course the donkeys - Bobby and Joey - right across for the cottage.||||The hosts, Phil, and his family couldn't do enough to make our stay very special. Check out their restaurant in the lovely Usk town centre. ||||We will go again as soon as we can.
