We were away for a long weekend in York, and stopped on the way to York for Tea and cakes at Langlands, which was lovely. So, on the way home, we decided to stop once again, and have Breakfast..Lovely staff at the till..Unfortnately, the breakfast was not so good..Sausage was nice, as were the mushrooms. The hashbrowns /potatoes, were so overdone, that they just crumbled when you put your fork into them..The eggs were like bullets, but in contrast, the sourdough toast was just like bread..Honestly, it must've been in the Toaster for 5 seconds, no more..Either that, or the Toaster wasn't plugged in..It was awful..Beans were tepid..i could go on..All in all, not a great experience..Why didn't we complain ?....Well, for one, the staff at the till were really busy, so the food would've been even colder once we had finally spoken to someone !..PLUS, I thought it was policy for someone to come and ask how your food was, but it was like looking for the scarlet pimpernel..No one came, and in the end we had no choice, but to get back on the road...Disappointing experience

Always good to go here. Some mention the prices but we felt the value was commensurate with the others in the area, given the quality and choice. Fantastic choice of plants and numerous other items like clothes, books lights etc. All the usual garden paraphernalia at reasonable prices. Something for virtually everyone.

Large garden centre with cafe/restaurant, clothing, food hall and as it was December- a huge Christmas department. There was also a 1hr Christmas Circus show - which was the whole reason for our visit today. The Circus was fantastic btw, and I’d highly recommend you go along to see it if you get the chance!! 🎪🎪🎪🎪🎪

I used to really look forward to visiting Langlands but since been taken over by British Garden Centre it has gone down hill and just looks like every other one of their stores now, it’s lots it’s charm and uniqueness. Had Sunday dinner also and it was super disappointing. Won’t be coming back in a hurry which is such a shame.

We had a great time looking around Langlands garden centre York. There are plenty of gifts, cards, plants and barbecues, outdoor lighting, outdoor furniture and the cafe has plenty of spaces and great food. The disabled toilet was big enough to take a wheelchair in and was very clean. There is also a Edinburgh wool shop. The only thing that was disappointing was the farm shop which didn't have much apart from cakes. Would definitely recommend a visit.
